This half-day course aims to build on the topics covered in our Introductory course. This course is intended for those who require a higher level of Outlook skills to organise larger volumes of mail or to manage calendars and mail on behalf of others.

Prerequisite skills/knowledge:
It is assumed you have good general computing skills and are familiar with the Windows environment.
Upon completion of this course participants should be able to:

  • Sort and group messages
  • Create logical folder structures
  • Use Rules to organise emails
  • Create and configure Quick Steps
  • Search using advanced search criteria and Search Folders
  • Grant access permisions to other users
  • Create an Outlook data file
  • Understand and manage Archiving
  • Use Digital Signatures
  • Schedule and re-schedule meetings
  • Manage meeting attendees
  • Create and use Contact Groups (Distribution Lists)

At the completion of this course, participants should have gained the skills to be able to manage Outlook traffic for themselves and for others.
